To Everyone at Mountain Trail Horse Center:

Kylie with guestsYesterday the 16 of us from the Williamsport Area went on your covered wagon ride up through the canyon. What a delightful time we all had! The guide and narration were so nice. We learned a lot about your area and a lot about Pennsylvania. This was the highlight of our visit here. Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Louise

Dear Pat and Kylie (and family),

We had a wonderful time on our overnight with y'all last week. Speaking for my boys and me, it was a thoroughly enjoyable and remarkable time. I know all the other men (and boys) had a great time too. I will recommend Mountain Trail whenever I have the opportunity. And I'd like to bring my whole family up for a part-day ride or a wagon trip through the canyon.

God bless the Maiers,
Mark

Hello!

I just returned from a Weekend in the Wellsboro/GCP area. What a great weekend. I must say that the highlight of the trip was our incredible Canyon Wagon Ride today! What a wonderful way to experience the Canyon! This was truly by far the best!! I have a bad knee right now, so hiking & biking are out of the question, so for me this was the greatest way to experience the sights and sounds of this beautiful location.

The driver (Russ) and guide (Doug) were both great! Russ was an expert driver and Doug was so knowledgeable about the area, the plant life and the wild life. And our wonderful team of horses, Bill & Bob couldn't have done a better job. I can't wait to come back in the fall to see the changing foliage!

Thanks for making my weekend a memorable one!

Sincerely,
Alison

Dear folks,

Kylie and RachThis is a long overdue letter to thank you for the tremendously enjoyable ride that Helen and I had with you all over Memorial Day weekend. Tim, thanks especially for your kindness in adapting to my limits as a rider and for taking us through great scenery the whole way. This is a part of Pennsylvania that we didn't know well, but are now quite smitten with. Thanks to you and Rachel both for taking such good care of us at the campsite itself and for adapting so effortlessly to my wheat allergy. We loved having Tucker along too - what a sport!

Mountain Trail struck us as a great place for horses and for people - my riding experience (limited, I admit) has been that I often feel more sadness for the horses than delight in the ride. At Mountain Trail it was so clear the horses were happy, healthy, eager, and respected that it made all the difference in my ability to enjoy the ride.

Thanks again to all of you for an experience we will enthusiastically recommend to others, and be very glad to repeat (after I learn to trot and canter!).

Warmly,
Sharon and Helen

Dear Pat and Jill,

I wanted to drop you a note regarding the trip of this past weekend. Last night I drove home and was once again struck by how much the experience in the woods, on horse with you and others, helped me put back in perspective my sense of what’s important.

I guess that we all sometimes lose the bigger picture, instead concentrating on the small (or big) annoying, irritating troubles, changes and disappointments that pop up in our lives. Last year was my first experience with you guys, and I left with an awe of the ability of the horses to traverse the landscape of a forest, of the beauty of the smallest things on the ground, those flying things in the air, the scope of the mountains, and overall an awe of the beauty of the bigness and the intricacies of nature. This year, I got those plus a freshness to look at and handle, in a new light, the issues that were burning me out.

I also got how committed you both are to providing your experience to others. Some of us are lucky to have professions that assist and nurture people, our ministries. During this weekend, you nurtured me back to being myself. This then ripples to all those with whom I come in contact. Thank you for your ministry to me and to all you serve. May they appreciate the quality of the experience you have created.

Many thanks to you, Jill, Tim, Ron, and the entire crew at MTHC. I thoroughly enjoyed the immersion into "reality" and appreciated and respect your matter-of-fact, no "BS" style. You make me feel right at home.

I look forward to enjoying another ride.

Thank you,
Jerry

Hi Pat,

Just wanted to thank you again for a great ride. I meant it when I said it was a pleasure and privilege to ride Tuxedo. He’s a great horse. Do you think I’ll ever see a bear? Guess I’ll just have to keep riding! You can count on me for another October Cedar Run ride. Even though it was a little chilly, I was very relaxed. So thanks again for all your hard work and all you do so some of us city folk can enjoy a real outdoor adventure. Hello and hugs to the family and crew!

Mr. Maier,

man on horseLast weekend I brought my 13 year old son and two of his friends to your place for a trail ride. I would like to thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for both myself and the kids-we had a ball! Our guides were Tim and Shannon, and they were just great. They took the time and energy to be sure we were safe, yet they gave us a very interesting and exciting ride. I just can’t say enough about the quality of the day and the people and horses that were with us.

Please relay the message to Tim and Shannon and tell them how much we appreciate the way they treated us. I took a pile of your pamphlets and I am passing them out. I hope to be back some day soon. You run a good show.

To Whom It May Concern:

We wish to thank you for a wonderful covered wagon ride into the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it very much. Thanks again!

Hello - Thank you so much for letting us stay in your cottage! It was lovely and comfortable. We hiked the Grand Canyon and certainly enjoyed the hot tub to soothe our aching muscles! We enjoyed watching the nuthatches fly in out of thier nest on the corner of the back porch and a friendly salamander came out to visit during the rain last night. We had a lovely few days away from the hectic life of the world. Thank you again.

Thanks,

Ellen and Randy

P.S. The daffodils were a wonderful touch when we came in!
