Riding and Horsemanship classes at Mountain Trail Horse Center

Mountain Trail Horse Center has been a proven and trusted riding facility for nearly 30 years.  We have an excellent safety record, highly skilled staff and outstanding horses. 

We offer classes for everyone - beginners to intermediates, youth to adult. 
Our instructors will carefully match your skills and goals to the horse and riding program that fits your needs.

Among our many varied services we are offering an array of Horsemanship and Riding lessons to fit a number of different needs and goals. We have Regular one hour lessons that are appropriate for everyone from eight to one hundred and eight! We are also offering special selections that include a Professionals class and Youngsters classes. We conduct a preliminary expectation/explanation talk at the beginning of every first lesson. For any student under the age of 13 we require parental supervision during every class.

All our Regular one hour classes are divided into group and private branches. We start by assessing the current skills of the student and begin teaching at the level of the student.

•    For a private class it is $45 dollars an hour, and we are offering a discount package of four classes for $160.
•    Our group rate is $30 per person for a one hour lesson and the discount package deal is four lessons for $100.

Our Professionals classes are lessons that are specifically geared for people that have little time for themselves. Here is a riding and horsemanship lesson that provides an escape as well as a chance to learn a skill that offers a lifetime of rewards.

•    When students show up their horse is saddled and ready for them.
•    The classes are only a half an hour.
•    Can accommodate your schedule to hold classes before or after work or even at lunch.
•    It is $45 to take one private class and $30 for one group class.

We are also offering a class designed just for Youngsters. We believe one of the basics to good horsemanship is awareness for safety. So with our young, future horsepeople we start without riding and will spend time emphasizing safety around horses.

•    These are half hour classes for $25
•    Ages four to seven.
•    Our future horsepeople will learn necessary safety information
•    They graduate to lead line classes, where we lead our student’s horse so we can instruct them and still have a high level of control.
•     Possibility of supervised independent riding after our students accomplish an established skill level
